  • How old does my child have to be to attend Woods CDC?

    Children need to have turned the age of the class by 9/1.

  • What does it mean that Woods CDC is accredited?

    Maryland Accreditation is a process in which programs commit to continuous quality improvement, to benefit children, families and staff. Maryland Accreditation is a voluntary process.  A program chooses to pursue self-appraisal, program improvement, and external program review to achieve and publicly confirm that they meet high quality state standards. Woods also exceeds the teacher to child state ratio.

  • What training and education is needed to work at Woods CDC?

    Lead teachers must have a college degree in early childhood education or a closely related field and all teachers must complete annual professional education.

  • Does Woods CDC provide lunch and snack?

    Yes, Woods CDC provides a morning and afternoon snack with an appropriate beverage. Lunch is provided for all full day programs and the Part Day 4 program. Learn more about our food and menu's here.

  • Are parents able to volunteer?

    We LOVE parent involvement and offer many opportunities for collaboration!

  • Do you offer enrichment programs?

    Children attend Chapel and Music programs on a regular basis; other enrichment programs are offered throughout the school year.

  • Do you have to be Christian or a member of Woods Church to attend?

    Woods CDC welcomes families of all faith backgrounds and acknowledges their traditions in our classrooms. Children do not need to be members of the church to attend.

  • What is the relationship between the Woods CDC and Woods Church?

    Woods CDC is a subsidiary of the Church and while the Center Director is in charge of the day to day operations of the Center, we do uphold the ideals and overall policies of the Church. An Elder of the Church serves on the CDC Board of Directors and acts as liaison to Session, which is the governing body of the Church. Families do not need to be members of the Church to register for our programs, but are welcome to participate in the many wonderful family oriented events that the Church hosts. 

  • Do you follow the Anne Arundel School calendar?

    Woods CDC does not follow the public-school calendar for weather or vacation schedules. Please check the website and our facebook page for more inclement weather information.

  • Can I pay my tuition online?

    Yes! Click on the Tuition Payment tab to pay your child's tuition. A 2.9% processing fee is included in the tuition total.

  • Do you offer tuition assistance?

  • My child requires medication while at school. Can you administer?

    Woods CDC can administer certain medications, including inhalers and epi-pens.  Forms from the physician must be provided.

  • Does my child need to be toilet trained to attend Woods CDC?

    Yes, unless your child is enrolled in a 2-year-old class or has an IEP or IFSP.

  • Can I bring special treats for birthdays and special occasions?

    Yes, please remember that Woods CDC is a nut free facility and all outside food must be checked for the possibility of nut products and must be store bought with a label.  No homemade foods please. Please let teachers know 48 hours in advance if you would like to bring in a special treat.
