It is the mission of Woods Child Development Center to inspire excellence in learning and creativity, to build character, and to foster respect for others and the world around us by providing an engaging, developmentally appropriate program for children ages 2 to 4 in a nurturing, Christian environment.
The operation of Woods CDC is advised by a Board of Directors. This volunteer board includes CDC parents and Woods Church members and meets monthly August-June. The CDC Board is responsible to the Session, which is the governing body of Woods Church. Board terms are two years and the time commitment is not overwhelming. Duties include goal setting for the programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility, maintaining quality standards, upholding the guidelines and philosophy of Woods Church and helping with fundraising.
